Many famous actors who started off in the 1930s, during the Great Depression, appeared in as many B-Westerns and Serials that they could get. Any pay day is a good pay day and any actor starting off was grateful for the work. At the height of the Great Depression of the 1930s 1 in 3 men didn’t have a job.
