Poke Replacement Leather Hatband is shown on our Winchester ’73 Custom Cowboy Hat.
Our Poke hat band is a 1/2 inch wide dyed heavy leather hat band with 6 brass spots and a centre concho resembling some ancient piece of plunder. Shown in Black. Available in all our hatband colors.
Please note we have a limited number of center conchos (they have been discontinued) and once they’re sold out that’s it.
A cowboy’s poke was his money. More specifically where he kept it, which was usually in a leather pouch with a drawstring. And the “poke” would be kept in a shirt pocket, or the waistband of his pants. Or maybe his boot, but pretty much anywhere on his person where the owner felt it was the safest.

We have adapted a stained oak slider so every customer gets a perfect fit for their custom hatband. It’s surprisingly fast and you can easily take our hatband off and put it on a different hat.
And if you don’t want to take off your old hatband, the beauty of our leather hat bands is you can simply slide our hatbands over top of your old one.
To put on your new last best leather hat band, put your hat on and while looking in the mirror slide your new hatband over and down the crown, centre the design, then reach behind the hat and pull the slider tight. Now you have two different looks for the same hat, and a dang fine fit every time.
