One of our favorite b-movie cowboy hats, this was the hat style worn by actor Paul Fix, in the classic B-Western: The Desert Trail. This hat is an ancestor of the classic Augustus style made famous from Lonesome Dove.

How it Works

We have adapted a stained oak slider so every customer gets a perfect fit for their custom hatband. It’s surprisingly fast and you can easily take our hatband off and put it on a different hat.

And if you don’t want to take off your old hatband, the beauty of our leather hat bands is you can simply slide our hatbands over top of your old one.

To put on your new last best leather hat band, put your hat on and while looking in the mirror slide your new hatband over and down the crown, centre the design, then reach behind the hat and pull the slider tight. Now you have two different looks for the same hat, and a dang fine fit every time.
