Dakota Sheriff Holster
Dakota Sheriff holster, hand-made by the last best west
We made this first Dakota Sheriff Holster for a County Sheriff, and we show it here in our signature color, Deadwood Brown. The design allows you to position the holster 2 different ways on your hip, depending on how you string the belt. Straight up and down or slightly forward.
The belt slots are double stitched for rugged wear, and will work well with a pants belt or up to a 2 1/2 inch gun belt. The design of the pistol (holster gorge) opening is lower and curved at the top and front of the holster, allowing for hammer cocking (picture 7) in the holster.
The beautiful shell and basket weave pattern on the front adds to the dynamic look of the holster, making it as easy on the eyes as it is functional. Our thanks to County Sheriff, Paul Williams for helping us tweak the holster design, and field testing it for us!
