The Last Best West Classic Ladies leather Coat is lined and made from beautiful cream colored leather.

When we first designed this coat we thought how great it would look on Elsa from the 1883 TV series.

1883 was a prequel to the very popular Yellowstone series starring Kevin Costner as John Dutton. 1883 follows

Elsa and her family as they set out from Texas to their intended destination, Oregon.  Elsa Dutton is a free-spirited, intelligent and hardworking young woman.  She isn’t a fan of rules and, as most teenagers, wants to have some fun in her life.

The Duttons’ tumultuous journey takes them through the untamed West.  Led by Sam Elliott they encounter many perils, but maintain their steadfast determination to reach the “Promised Land” of Oregon.

Loads of fringe, studs and metal spots adds to the uniqueness of this western style ladies coat.

Fringe on leather clothing is a functional design feature pioneered by native Americans, hundreds of years ago. Its job is to channel off rain and snow, allowing the garment to dry faster.

And beside that it looks real cool!

We have designed our leather coats and jackets to be functional and true to the pioneer days. Our classic designs are timeless and will look good with clothes from 2024 or circa 1883.

Most of our coats are named in remembrance of the early days of North America. For people and frontiersmen and events that helped shape Democracy in North America. And the late 18th through the 19th century are full of firsts.
