Fancy Buscadero Ready to Ship – Our Fancy Buscadero has loops all the way around, and the belt and holster have a distinctive border edging. Shown with better buckle #2, the holster comes with hammer and leg tie downs.

We never saw a law that said “Buscaderos must have a billeted gun belt!”.  So we made this one tapered, a first as far as we can tell!

Either of our buscaderos are available with a billeted or tapered gun belt.  Either will work as well for women as for men. Rig shown is in our signature color – Deadwood Brown.

History of the Buscadero

The 20th century brought many innovations to holster and belt design.  The most revolutionary was likely the Buscadero or Drop-Loop Holster. This innovative design puts the pistol at the same height as your hand and allows for very quick and fluid draws.

The Buscadero was first made for a Texas lawman in the 1920s.  Someone in the film business saw one and introduced the look to Hollywood. The design is very comfortable and makes pulling your pistol while mounted quick and easy. The early western stars embraced the look and soon buscaderos were a standard in western movies right up to the present.
