The Wild Bunch was a loose association of up to a dozen outlaws who banded together under the leadership of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid to rob banks, trains, and rustle horses and cattle. In November of 1900 – five members of the Wild Bunch meet up in Fort Worth, Texas, to celebrate a good haul on their last robbery. They all went and outfitted themselves in new duds from top to bottom, and then amazingly make the dubious decision to have their photo taken at the John Swartz Studio.
The picture of Sundance, William R. Carver (Will Casey), Ben Kilpatrick (The Tall Texan), Harvey Logan (Kid Curry), and Robert Leroy Parker (Butch Cassidy) soon finds itself in the hands of the Pinkerton’s, and the chase was on. Not long after the Fort Worth Five photograph is taken, the gang splits up, with the Pinkerton’s following Bunch, Sundance, and Etta Place to South America.
