Our version of the Quirt Western Movie Hat has a classic telescope crown, with a kettle curled and hand rolled and bound edge brim. For our money, 1947s Angel and the Badman, is one of the top 20 western movies ever made. And this classic western film has one of the great western character names in the history of western film, Quirt Evans. The Quirt Movie Hat style is also a similar version to the one worn by Will Smith as James West in the wacky 1999 western, the Wild Wild West - the brim is just rolled a little differently. His long acting career began in 1952, and he never got a better role than that of rancher, and single father, Lucas McCain. -

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Bonanza (1959 - 1972) debuting on TV, this is our take on the magnificently simple hat worn by Dan Blocker as Hoss. Big Guys like big hats. And Dan Blocker was a big man right from the start. Weighing 14 pounds at birth he grew to be a 6' 4" and 300 pound favorite on the iconic TV Western, Bonanza. Robert Fuller was one of Hollywood's most handsome leading men in the 1950s and 60s, and he had a fine career playing cowboy heroes, including Jess Harper from Laramie. Our first hat was given to Mr. Fuller in 2017, as a gift from his fan club. More below

Hays Cooper Cowboy Hat - Our take on the Hays Cooper hat worn by Chuck Norris in Walker, Texas Ranger. In 1993 Chuck Norris took on the role of Walker, Texas Ranger and over the next 9 years it was one of the most popular shows on TV. Coogan Cowboy Hat style is the COOGAN, worn by Clint Eastwood in 1968s, Coogan's Bluff With the world being scared into sheltering in place over the month of April 2020 we thought we would give our clients and friends a distraction to help the time go by. A contest to engage the imagination and powers of deduction, along with our love of movies.WE HAVE A WINNER! Well, we have been suitably humbled...this contest was posted at 1:42 April 4 2020 and in just 17 minutes(!) Ben Ellis posted the winning answer. Our mystery hat was the hat style worn by Clint Eastwood as Walt Coogan, in 1968s Coogan's Bluff. Thanks to everyone that played along and stay healthy!

Real Buckaroo's wear the Buck
We have what we think is a dynamic cowboy hat design for the 21st century. Great for sun protection, with a 4 3/4 inch crown and a 4 inch brim the hat is tall enough and wide enough to give good all weather protection. We started with the classic Canadian (rectangular top dent) crown and deepened the front and side dents. The brim has a front drover style roll and we have a slight pencil roll at the back and through the sides.
