Our take on the Virgil Cole Movie Hat - from Appaloosa {2008} Our Virgil Cole Hat is the cowboy hat worn by Ed Harris in 2008s excellent Western Film, Appaloosa. This is also the hat with only minor changes (a front pinch to the crown and a bit more roll to the brim) that Mr. Harris wears as The Man in Black, in HBOs new western hit, Westworld. It's almost like the character is patterned after a mean and vicious Virgil Cole. If you would like The Man in Black version, add the request to the PRODUCTION NOTES. The style is a an adjusted version of a basic Boss of the Plains style cowboy hat. Add a homburg dent to the crown and give a nice dip to the front of the brim and there she be. Pretty close to a Fort Bragg version of the US Cavalry Hat from the 1870s.- Crown: 4 1/2" inches Modified Homburg dent

Our take on the Randall Bragg Movie Hat - from Appaloosa {2008} Jeremy Irons crafts an intriguing Randall Bragg, a well dressed, well-connected, sophisticated Cattle Baron who gets what he wants, when he wants it. Appaloosa is such a good story, with all the actors doing a fine job of moving the story along. Our Randall Bragg Movie Cowboy Hat has a telescope crown, pencil rolled brim, and is then hand-shaped and rolled higher on the left. We have used 10 cut-out star conchos strung out along a piece of 1/2" inch of leather.- Color Shown: Black

Jesse James Purgatory Hat - Our take on the Brooks or Jesse James hat worn by JD Souther (of Eagles fame) from Purgatory {1999} Our Purgatory Hat is a pretty straight forward hat style, just a Texas Flat Crown, which is a variation of our classic Boss of the Town style hat, with a slight pencil roll, and almost flat brim.- Color Shown: Silver Mist. Our take on the Pale Preacher Movie Hat - from Pale Rider (1985) A variation of the timeless Boss of the Plains design which was the first "Western Sombrero" made for the general public in 1865. Our take on the Hang Em High Movie Hat - Clint Eastwood from Hang 'Em High. {1968} This western movie hat is the style worn by Clint Eastwood, as Jed Cooper, in the 1960s big Hollywood western, Hang 'Em High , co-starring the beautiful Inger Stevens, and a host of great character actors. We show our hat with a slight pencil roll on the brim. Our take on the Decker Movie Hat - from Legends of the Fall (1994) Perhaps the most distinctive of all the hats in Legends of the Fall, this tall crowned wide brimed hat has a tight 3 pinch cavalry or Gus creasing to the crown, and a hand shaped brim.We're showing this hat in frontier (long-haired) beaver fur-felt, but can just as easily be done in our standard. Our take on the Ike Clanton Movie Hat - from Tombstone {1993} The 4 dent military style crown was a common crown treatment in the old west. This hat with the pushed up front was worn by Stephen Lang as the cowardly drunk, Ike Clanton, in one of Hollywood's all time great western's - Tombstone.
