Over the next decade the term came to signify almost all soft creased hats with medium or wider brims. Even a medium brim was an improvement over the European styled Kepis and Forage caps of the day. This hat is patterned after one of our favorite movie cavalry hats from that dark 1967 western, A Time for Killing. Our take on this movie hat style has a modified slouch shaped crown and a dynamic hand rolled and kettle curled brim.
