Our version of the Quirt Western Movie Hat has a classic telescope crown, with a kettle curled and hand rolled and bound edge brim. For our money, 1947s Angel and the Badman, is one of the top 20 western movies ever made. And this classic western film has one of the great western character names in the history of western film, Quirt Evans. The Quirt Movie Hat style is also a similar version to the one worn by Will Smith as James West in the wacky 1999 western, the Wild Wild West - the brim is just rolled a little differently. With this design we attempted to fashion a crown shape reminiscent of a ridge in the Alberta Rocky Mountains.
