Appaloosa is such a good story, with all the actors doing a fine job of moving the story along. Our Randall Bragg Movie Cowboy Hat has a telescope crown, pencil rolled brim, and is then hand-shaped and rolled higher on the left. Our version of the Quirt Western Movie Hat has a classic telescope crown, with a kettle curled and hand rolled and bound edge brim. For our money, 1947s Angel and the Badman, is one of the top 20 western movies ever made. And this classic western film has one of the great western character names in the history of western film, Quirt Evans. The Quirt Movie Hat style is also a similar version to the one worn by Will Smith as James West in the wacky 1999 western, the Wild Wild West - the brim is just rolled a little differently. Pony Express Recruitment Poster - From April 1860 to October 1861 the Pony Express was the fastest way to get your message from the East to the West; and back again. The "young, skinny, wiry fellows" all had to weight less than 125 lbs, and had to cover the 1966 miles from St. Joseph, Missouri to Sacramento, California in ten days. Through every imaginable type of hardship they rode across the States of Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, and California. In October, 1861 the Telegraph Wire was completed to the West Coast and the Pony Express was finished.
